Our Journey
Quantum was born in 2015 from a vision shared by Dr. Elizabeth Harrington and Professor James Winters, both former Oxford University researchers in computer science and quantum mechanics. They recognized a critical gap in education: traditional institutions were not adapting quickly enough to the revolutionary changes in technology.
Starting with just three courses and a small office in Oxford, Quantum initially focused on advanced programming and data science. Our first cohort consisted of only 12 students, but their success stories quickly spread throughout the UK tech community.
By 2018, we had expanded to our current location on Orchard Road, developing a comprehensive curriculum covering emerging technologies including quantum computing, artificial intelligence, and cybersecurity. Today, Quantum serves over 500 students annually through both in-person and online learning formats, maintaining our commitment to small class sizes and personalized education.
Throughout our growth, we've maintained strong connections with leading technology firms across the UK and Europe, ensuring our curriculum remains at the cutting edge of industry needs while providing our graduates with exceptional career opportunities.
